CLEANER/CARETAKER ALL SAINTS WHITSTBALE CHURCH HALL
Job Title - Hall Cleaner/Caretaker
Accountable to – All Saints Whitstable District
Church Council.
Reports to – The Vicar, the Churchwardens and the
Treasurer
Salary - £13.50 per Hour
Hours of work – Part Time; 8 Hours per Week. Some
flexibility will be required as the hall cleanliness must be maintained
throughout the week (eg. 8 hrs over 3 days, Mon, Wed, Fri). Cleaning usually
happens either early morning approx. 7am to 9am or 9pm to 11pm as this is when
hall is currently not used by groups. Additional payments will be made as a
keyholder for any emergency call out or to show a prospective booking client
around the hall if the bookings manager is unavailable. Additional attendance
will be required special events such as local or general elections (a specific
fee will be paid for this).

Overall Purpose of the Post:
To contribute to the ministry of All
Saints Church by ensuring that the Church Hall is clean, tidy, maintained and
accessible to users. The role entails significant face-to- face contact with
people from the Church, community and users of the hall as well as direct
responsibility for physical and technical resources.
Because this post may occasionally involve some interaction with church and vulnerable adults it is subject to a DBS check which will be carried out as part of the appointment process should you be successful at interview.
Please note that the working hours are either early morning or late evening as the hall is fully booked at other times.
